Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Recipia — operated by Asad Abbasi, a sole trader based in Pakistan — collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. Contact us anytime at info@aegonlabs.online with questions or requests about your data.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your email address, name (optional), and password (we store a salted hash, never your actual password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

Content you provide — recipes you search for, extract, or import; photos you upload for extraction; dietary preferences and profile details; saved recipes and generated meal plans.

Usage data — which features you use and how often (including your AI-action usage, to enforce your plan's allowance), basic device/browser information, and IP address for security and abuse prevention.

Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle. We never see or store your card details ourselves.

2. How we use it

• To provide the Service — running searches, generating recipes/images/translations/meal plans, syncing your saved recipes across devices;
• To send account-related email (verification, password reset, billing receipts);
• To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse;
• To improve and maintain the Service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Recipia is built on a small number of trusted service providers, each of which processes only what's needed to do its job:

• Anthropic — recipe text/images you submit for extraction, translation, simplification, or generation are sent to Anthropic's API to produce the result;
• Replicate — recipe names are sent to generate AI food photography;
• Google — if you use Google Sign-In;
• Paddle — payment and billing information, for paid subscribers;
• SMTP2GO — your email address, to deliver verification and password-reset emails;
• Cloudflare, Railway, and Netlify — infrastructure hosting for images, the API, and the web app.

Some of these providers are based outside Pakistan (including the US), so your data may be processed internationally as a result.

4. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and saved content within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it (for example, billing records).

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your Profile settings, or by emailing info@aegonlabs.online to request a copy or deletion of your data.

6. Cookies & local storage

Recipia uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences like theme and language — not third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

7. Children's privacy

Recipia isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, hashed session tokens), but no system is 100% secure — we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
