Terms of Service

Recipia ("we," "us," "our") is operated by Asad Abbasi, a sole trader based in Pakistan. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Recipia — our website, apps, and AI-powered recipe tools (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Recipia.

1. What Recipia does

Recipia lets you search, generate, and extract recipes (from photos, links, or handwritten notes), translate and simplify them, build AI-generated meal plans, follow guided cook mode, build shopping lists, and track nutrition. Some features are free for everyone; others are limited by your subscription plan (see Section 3).

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to use Recipia.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Recipia offers a Free plan and paid Plus/Pro plans, billed monthly and auto-renewing until cancelled. Paid plans include a monthly allowance of "AI actions" (recipe extraction, translation, simplification, and meal-plan generation); recipe search and cook mode are free and unlimited on every plan.

  • You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
  • If you exceed your plan's AI-action allowance, further AI actions pause until your plan renews or you upgrade — this never affects search, cook mode, or your saved recipes.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle. Paddle.com Market Limited is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment processing, invoicing, and related customer service for billing inquiries.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Recipia for anything illegal, or upload content you don't have the rights to;
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, scrape the Service, or reverse-engineer it;
  • Resell or provide bulk/automated access to the Service without our written permission;
  • Interfere with the Service's normal operation or other users' access to it.

5. Your content, our content

Recipes and other content you submit or extract remain yours. By using Recipia, you grant us a license to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the Service (for example, generating an AI photo for a recipe, or translating it). Recipia's software, design, and branding are our property.

6. Third-party services

Recipia relies on third-party providers to work: Anthropic (AI recipe generation, extraction, translation, and simplification), Replicate (AI-generated food photography), Google (sign-in), Paddle (payment processing), and SMTP2GO (transactional email). We aren't responsible for outages or issues originating from these providers.

7. Disclaimers

Recipes, nutrition information, and meal plans are generated or assisted by AI and provided "as is" — we don't guarantee their accuracy. Recipia is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice, and you're responsible for food safety when cooking (checking for allergens, proper cooking temperatures, and your own judgment).

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recipia and Asad Abbasi are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any harm arising from recipes or nutrition information generated by the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using Recipia and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continuing to use Recipia after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
